What Has Josh Been Up To?

Laughing!!!!

Laughing while eating.

Hanging out with dad whenever he gets the chance!

Spending all his time with mom!

Playing with his friends!

I love this picture of Josh and Grace, they are so cute when they play together!

Josh pushing Sam on the car! They are a riot, when they play.

Organizing the Food Storage!

Josh stacking canned foods into a tall tower in our food pantry.

Reading Books!

He loves, loves, loves books!

Exercising with mom on his own bouncy ball.

It is so funny! He has great balance and imitates everything mom does on the ball.

Basketball!

Josh loves basketball! He has a great shot!

Josh attempting to be a human basketball.

Trying on all the shoes in the house!

Here he is very determined to tie these shoe laces.
Cars, Cars, Cars!

Josh loves cars and can play with them pretty much all day! His favorite movie, you guessed it, "Cars"! I love this picture because Josh finds a way to take all his cars with him wherever he goes. Notice all the little cars strategically placed in the stearing wheel of his big Lightning McQueen Car.

Undressing Himself!
Everynight, I go to check on him once he's asleep and most of the time his pajamas are off. I sure hope he doesn't take his diaper off. So far we're lucky.

Watching Movies!!!
Josh'a Top 5 Movies:
#1 Cars
#2 Cinderella
#3 Winnie the Pooh
#4 Jungle Book
#5 Little Mermaid

Loves to help mom clean! Everyday he reminds me to vacuum before naptime! He loves to pretend to vacuum, help with laundry, put groceries away in food pantry, etc.

Josh loves his soft white blankets!
Josh doesn't do this that much anymore, but he used to chew on his blankets, maybe because either he was teething or for comfort.

Ahhh, Josh Sleeping!
Josh prefers to play and never stop playing not even for sleep. I'm always so happy to see him so peaceful when he sleeps, it always melts my heart.
Baby Bums! I had to throw this picture because I think Josh has the cutest little bum.

Primary Easter Egg Hunt

March 22, 2008
Josh giving his dad a kiss, John surprised us by getting done at the hospital early than expected. Josh is always so happy to see his dad.

This is such a funny picture to me because Josh just has this look of awe and wonder. It's so cute because the bishop of our ward was giving a short lesson on Christ's resurection. I'm thinking he maybe learned something.

The hunt for eggs. Josh loved it and was excited that there was candy.
We'll probably have to move way south in order to have an outdoor easter egg hunt. We only have one more year left(I can't believe it). After this winter Arizona sounds nice, but we'd really like to go to Utah to be with family and the weather is so much nicer there than here.
I really do love Iowa, but the winters are loooooonnnnnngggggg!

John's 27th Birthday

March 5, 2008
Wow, John is getting old(jk). I threw John and surprise birthday party and got him a pull-up bar that he's wanted for a few years. He was really excited and surprised.

Valentine's Day

This year, Valentine's day was a family affair. After I (John) got home, we all went to dinner at our favorite pizza place: Boston's. Afterwards, we opened gifts and watched a movie. Marie gave me an Iowa sweatshirt (I have wanted one ever since we moved here) and some cologne. I gave her a new I-pod nano. She lost her old I-pod on the plane when we flew home for Christmas. She acted very surprised, though I later found out she noticed it under the bed earlier that day while playing hide and seek with Joshua.

"Wicked" in Chicago

February 2, 2008
For Christmas, John's parents gave John and I tickets to the musical "Wicked" and paid for 1 night at the Marriot in downtown, Chicago. It was an awesome gift. "Wicked" was amazing! How can people sing that good? It was so much fun just to spend time with John without me being constantly destracted by a toddler. It was a quick trip, but it's hard to be apart from Josh too long.
On the way home we hit a huge bliazzard 100 miles from home. We thought that we weren't going to make it home several times and hoped and prayed that we would live to see Josh again(this might sound cheesy, but it was really that bad). It was so scary, for the last hour of the drive, I told John to drive under 20 miles per hour on the freeway (I'm a really good backseat driver ;). At one point John got a little too confident despite my warnings and went 25 miles per hour and we were suddenly swerving all over the interstate and found ourselves stuck in the snow on the side of the road. We were so blessed that there weren't any other cars or huge semis by us(note: the entire time there were several cars and mostly semis driving along side us or behind us). We were luckier or just plain blessed that we were somehow able to get back on the interstate unlike the 86 cars that we counted that had slid off and were stuck or seriously wrecked. So, our 3 hour drive turned into an 8 hour drive home. I'm so glad we made it home safely.

The city of Chicago is the most beautiful large city I've ever been too. The buildings are amazing!

Winter 2008

Now that winter is almost over, here in Iowa, it's fun to reminesce. But, I'm so glad that it is warming up, it has been a long winter.
Even though it was about 20 below zero, no joke, Josh didn't want to go inside. This kid loves to be outside and he really missed the swing at the park.

Okay, so now he is freezing and didn't like the snow blowing in his face, but he still did not want to go inside.

Josh & Grace

So, I never posted Josh's Halloween picture. I think it is so cute. The other cute Dalmation on the left is one of Josh's best friends, Grace, they both happened to be the same thing for Halloween.

Josh and Grace playing a duet on the piano together. They have so much fun together!
