Nesting Complete & Decorating Done

October 13th, 2012
Official day of Nesting Complete minus the baby clothes.
I did this post while in Labor with Zach to try to keep my mind off the pain.  My goal was to finally decorate our home before Zach arrived.  I love decorating and I had so much fun doing it.  Decorating really made my pregnancy go by so much faster.  I need to put up before photos because the house looks completely different!

Here's the post I made almost a year ago that I didn't post because my labor wasn't long enough to actually post it. I guess I needed a few more minutes.  But Zach wanted to come before I finished, which was fine with me.  I was so happy to finally meet him!

Brown Kitchen Cabinets to White.

Lighting installed above and below cabinets.

The headboard I painted and antiqued it in tourquise and a dark brown at 37 weeks pregnant.  I did it in 6 hours. I was very proud of myself for all the hard work I did and for getting it done faster than I thought possible.

My talented mother-in-law helped me with this awhile ago, but I wanted a picture of it becuase I love it.

The painting in the background was a painting my mom did in 2007 and was a Christmas gift from her!  I cherish this beautiful gift from her.  She is one of the most talented and passionate painters I know.

A Mirror I repainted and antiqued.

I made the curtains all by myself.  1st panel took 6 hours since I didn't use a pattern or anything and figured out how to do it all on my own.  Learned from alot of mistakes on the first one.  The rest took 3 hours each.  Total of 21 hours to make the curtains.  It was fun, but in the future I'll probably just pay the extra to save alot of time.
